Attend the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions and earn 11.5 CFE credits in
category 1 from the Society of American Foresters. To submit continuing

The 16th Central Hardwood Forest Conference will be co-hosted by
the Purdue University Department of Forestry & Natural Resources and the
Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center. The meeting will be held in Lafayette, Indiana
at the Holiday Inn Select City Centre near the Purdue
University campus. The conference will consist of
concurrent sessions and a poster session.
The objective of the conference is to bring together forest managers and scientists to discuss research and issues concerning the ecology and management of forests in the Central Hardwood region.
Conference Schedule
The conference will begin with a reception on Monday
evening, April 7th, 2008. Concurrent sessions of oral presentations
will begin on Tuesday, April 8th and continue through Wednesday,
April 9th. Poster presentations are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th.
Subject Areas
Speakers will include researchers and managers from both public
and private sectors. Oral presentations and posters in areas applicable
to Central Hardwood Forest management will be presented. Concurrent

Publication The Proceedings will be published as a USDA Forest Service General Technical Report
on CD by the USDA Forest Service
Northern Research Station. The Proceedings will be available at the meeting on CD and will contain refereed papers from authors giving oral presentations and abstracts from authors presenting posters.

Deadline has passed for paper and poster
submission
Abstracts for oral
presentations and posters must be submitted electronically by June 15
using the following instructions and format. Use 12-point, Arial font in
MS Word format. Please use the last name of the first author to name the
abstract files submitted. In the case of multiple abstracts, distinguish
between them by adding a 1, 2, etc. after the name. Each abstract must
contain the following information:

Abstract (300

Name, Mailing Address, and
Organization of Corresponding Author
Telephone Number
Email Address
Submit abstracts as an email attachment to

June 15, 2007. No fax submittals will be accepted. A notice
confirming receipt of the abstract will be sent by email. A notice of
acceptance or rejection will be sent no later than
June 15, 2007.

manuscripts will be available online when abstracts are accepted.
