Ralph has been an early adopter of the Forest Vegetation Simulator and has been instrumental in adapting the model to numerous geographic areas of the United States. Working with Dr. Gary Dixon, mortality models have been developed for use in FVS. Other technical experiences have been designing forest inventories, designing and installing permanent growth and yield plots for use in building and testing vegetation simulation models, designing and implementing data management processes, and working with log scaling issues. Most recently, Ralph has been working on continuing education issues with the Society of American Foresters. Ralph is a Certified Forester®.
