Research and education
Forestry research projects at SIPAC include field plantation management, forest regeneration and stand management, Christmas tree management, forest weed control, biomass generation and management, forest inventory, wildlife habitat management, and soil compaction. Patoka is used for research in forest regeneration and stand management, weed control, and deer damage control. The site is used extensively in extension programs. Very little teaching is done at SIPAC, however, the woodlands are used regularly for extenion education programs.
