Stout Woods is in the Central Till Plain Natural Region in Henry County. It contains of 35 of forest.

Management plan

Research and education

The forest is typical farm woodland and is surrounded on three sides by farm land. Continuous Forest Inventory (CFI) research plots are located on the property and date back to the 1920's. Its large trees and diversity of species make for a valuable stand of merchantable timber.

Directions

The property is located approximately 4 miles northwest of New Castle, IN. It is accessed off of Sulfur Spring Road. There is a legal entry lane 24 feet wide and 1350 feet long extending along the south edge of the northwest quarter of Section 30.
