Research:

Cortney Mycroft coordinates the research efforts for the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment (HEE). She received her Bachelor of Science in Forestry degree from Purdue University in 2003 and her Master of Science focusing on forest ecology also from Purdue University in 2005. After graduating, Cortney worked in Purdue’s Forestry and Natural Resources’ Human Dimensions lab and at D.J. Case & Associates applying her knowledge of natural resources with a human dimensions focus. Cortney returned to Purdue in early 2007 to serve as Project Manager for the HEE project. She currently coordinates the research efforts and interests of over 50 professors, state agency officials and land managers, NGO representatives, and graduate students participating in the HEE project. During the summer field season, Cortney also manages a field crew at Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood State Forests that performs much of the sampling for the HEE project.
